Volunteer Applications

Please complete this application below, if you wish to apply as a worker at Camp Rainbow for any of our sessions to be held June 13 through June 22, 2025. Volunteers can begin working with us at the age of 14. 

Camp Rainbow will be held this year at Crowder State Park group camping facility near Trenton, Missouri.  Each cabin will house 19 campers and staff, and is the dormitory type, with showers and restrooms in each cabin.

Camp will open Friday, June 13th, with enrollment of the staff at 3pm.  All staff members are expected to help set up camp on Friday.  A training session will be held on Friday evening after camp set up. 

We are blessed to be able to offer three sessions to campers again this year!!  We are so excited that 162 campers will have the opportunity to experience Camp Rainbow!  On your application, please mark which session(s) you will be able to work.  Preference will be given to those who can work all sessions.  We realize that there are some who will help us by filling in one or two sessions only.  We are happy to have all of our volunteer staff! 

The last session of campers will be released at 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning, June 22nd.  Staff members are expected to help break camp Sunday afternoon, as we must be moved out of camp by 12:00 p.m.  You are paid no money, but we do feel that you will benefit greatly.  

This will be the 65th year for Camp Rainbow and we will be celebrating it with a Beach Party theme.  A great deal of work and the tradition of unselfish giving have made this possible.  

We need your application submitted by April 28, 2025, as the Board of Directors will be meeting soon after this.  We will notify you as soon as possible if you are selected to work and at that time will enclose a more detailed explanation of your duties in your particular work area.

Remember, Camp Rainbow is now a smoke and vape-free camp.  We feel this is best for the health of our campers and staff.  

PLEASE UNDERSTAND:  We are so very excited that you are interested in working with Camp Rainbow this year.  However, there are a limited number of staff beds that are available.  In the past, we have had to turn workers away, not because we don’t want them, but because our space is limited.  That being said, you would be wise to submit your applications ASAP in order to get the best chance to reserve your bed!
